The Marsupial Lion
The size of a female African lion, this parallel evolution is not related to the felines, and is, in fact, a marsupial. Weighing in at 300-350lbs while full grown and five feet long, they are heavily built but surprisingly fast and agile.
With sharp, stabbing incisors, these apex predators lie in wait for their preferred prey- kangaroo, and either leap from hidden spaces in tall grass, or tackle them from trees and rocky outcroppings.
